The SNOWBAND project was flown as part of the greater Lake-ICE / SNOWBAND field experiment, which was based at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI from December 1997 -January 1998.

We flew on NCAR/ATD's Electra aircraft with onboard ELDORA radar and dropped dropsondes approximately every 20 km.

Some preliminary observations and analyses are available by clicking on the images at the top of this page.
